In my course, I speak about the concept of analysis paralysis. I want to explain it to you here, and how it can help you with Pesach Prep.
Analysis paralysis is when you're faced with so many choices that you end up not making any decisions at all.
Today, we were chatting on my exclusive WhatsApp group for Course Participants, when the topic of analysis paralysis came up.
Some women had mentioned how they still hadn't printed their wedding albums,
and I so get them!
It took me over ten years to get my wedding album done!
Why?
Because I just couldn't decide which photos to choose.
There seemed to be a million shots of each pose, and I just couldn't make up my mind which one was best.
Then, I reminded myself about a concept I teach in my course = something I read in a book by Brian Tracy called "Eat the Frog." It's about doing the thing you're dreading the most first, so it's out of the way.
So, I told myself, "Ok! I'm just gonna pick a photo from each pose and be done with it! without analyzing and getting paralyzed about all the tiny differences."
And you know what? It made it so easy! No more agonizing over every little detail. I just made a quick decision and moved on.
This strategy is great for so many things. Instead of falling for analysis paralysis when confronted with all the many tasks involved in Pesach Prep, make swift decisions and take action.
If you are choosing dishes for your Pesach menu, buying clothing for the Chag, purchasing paper goods, figuring out what to clean, or choosing essential items for your shopping list, don't get stuck. Make a decision, and move along.
Don't allow analysis paralysis to impede your progress.
Trust me, you'll thank yourself later.
So, as you gear up for Pesach Prep, remember to keep it simple.
You've got this!
