Things I never buy or recommend buy as a professional:

Hey there, amazing moms!

Welcome to all my new subscribers! Thanks for joining! I hope you got your freebie! In general, I don’t send emails each time I post something new, so it’s always a good idea to check out my blog on my website regularly.

I try not to clutter up your inbox, but I know you’ll gain a lot from what I share. If you have WhatsApp, send me a message with your name so you can view my statuses and stay updated with all the latest news. (We are starting a new LIVE series of my course, The Minimalist Makeover on May 27 iyh!)

And don’t forget to share with your friends so you can all gain from this goodness together!

As you know, I’m a professional organizer, (Want to find out more? Click here.) and I’ve got some tips for you today!

Here are things I never buy or recommend

as a professional organizer.

Let’s go! 💪

  1. Neglecting to declutter first: Organizing is not just about rearranging items – it’s about decluttering and purging what you don’t need. If you skip this crucial step, you’ll just be moving clutter around. Let go of items you no longer use or need to create more space and reduce stress. You’ll feel so much lighter and more organized!

  2. Baskets with narrow bottoms: Sure, they might look cute, but they’re a total nightmare for organizing. Why? Because you’re not maximizing the space. Go for baskets with wide, sturdy bottoms so you’re using all the space efficiently.

  3. Funny-shaped containers: Quirky containers mess with your storage efficiency. Odd shapes don’t stack well and often waste precious space. Stick to simple, rectangular, or square containers for easier stacking and organizing.

  4. Buying too many organizing products: A line I always tell my students in my course is, "If you have to buy stuff to stuff your stuff, you have too much stuff." It’s so easy to get carried away with bins, baskets, and containers, but less is often more. Buying too many can lead to clutter rather than organization. Focus on finding practical solutions that meet your specific needs without overwhelming your space with unnecessary items.

  5. Ignoring your lifestyle: Every family is unique, so your organizing solutions should fit your lifestyle and habits. Just because it works for your friend doesn’t mean it’ll work for you. Tailor your approach to what suits your family best.

  6. Underestimating the power of labeling: Labels might seem like a small detail, but they make a big difference in maintaining an organized space. Without labels, it’s easy to forget where things belong, leading to confusion and disorganization. Labeling containers and shelves ensures that everything has a designated place, making it easier to keep your home tidy. (Here's the label maker I use and recommend.)

You’ve got this, my friend! 🌟
