Hi Friend!

“Why didn’t they teach us this in high school?”

That’s exactly what one of my subscribers asked last week. She just got married and was feeling completely overwhelmed.

Here’s what else she wrote:

"My husband keeps his stuff everywhere, and it’s driving me crazy! It’s causing so much stress and friction. Why can’t he just put his stuff away?!"

Sound familiar? Her frustration is so relatable! How many of us have wondered why nobody prepared us for real life?

You know, things like:

  • Setting up a functional home

  • Managing finances

  • Strengthening shalom bayit

  • Cooking dinner without the chaos

And her question? It’s so important, and I’m passionate about addressing it. In my book, Frum Minimalism, and in all my courses, I emphasize this over and over:

The purpose of decluttering is to create shalom bayit.

Fighting and arguing over clutter isn’t creating shalom bayit—it’s doing the opposite! That’s why I have a golden rule I teach in every course, class, and workshop. I even have the ladies repeat it after me:

🗣️ “We may never ever declutter other people’s things!”

This includes your husband’s stuff. But how do you deal with it?

Let me give you two quick tips:

1️⃣ Give him a clearly defined space (within reason) for his things

2️⃣ Have a respectful conversation about keeping shared areas tidy.

I cover this topic in much more detail in the upcoming Thriving in Shana Rishona Summit, where I’ll be speaking alongside 35+ other women! This virtual event, running from January 20-23, is packed with the skills and advice you wish you’d learned in school.

Here’s what you’ll learn at the summit:

  • Organizational tips that actually work (no pretty bins required)

  • How to improve your relationship with your husband today

  • How to troubleshoot inevitable bumps in your marriage

  • Everything you need to feel prepared for pregnancy and childbirth

  • Practical ways to take care of yourself physically

And here’s the best part: ✨

You’ll get tons of freebies, including a stunning 30-page eBook (What to do if Your Husband Won't Declutter) from me if you choose to upgrade! But even if you stick with the free ticket, you’ll walk away with incredible resources from me and the other speakers.

P.S. Whether you’re newly married, engaged, or years into your marriage, this summit has something for YOU.

Don’t learn the hard way—get all the advice you need right here!
