Instead of Chasing Doorbusters, Let’s Chase Peace-Busters

Hey friend:)
It’s that time again.
Stores are rolling out their “early Black Friday” promos, and inboxes everywhere are flashing with “DOORBUSTERS! 60% OFF! LIMITED TIME!”
But if you’ve been around here for a while, you know that as Frum Minimalists, we don’t chase those doorbusters.
And this year, I have an even better idea.
Instead of chasing any doorbusters, let’s chase our peace-busters, those sneaky little habits, thoughts, and bits of clutter that steal our peace.
The Biggest Peace-Buster of All: Fear
Fear, or as we know it “lack of Bitachon” is the biggest peace-buster of all.
“If I don’t grab it now, I’ll miss out.”
But Hashem’s shefa doesn’t run on limited-time offers.
What’s meant for you will come exactly when you need it, not a moment sooner, not a moment later.
We don’t need to run and chase it.
So while the world is having a sale on stuff, let’s have a clearance on stress.
It’s time for your very own Peace-Buster Clearance Event.
The Peace-Buster Sale, Everything Must Go!
1. Phone Overload – 60% Off
Cut your screen time by 60% and watch how much peace you get back.
When I give my class on phone usage, women are always shocked when they check their screen-time reports.
One woman gasped and said, “Ellie, that can’t be right, I spent more hours on my phone than sleeping!”
I teach all my students some simple boundaries, like:
Timed app limits
Charging your phone outside the bedroom.
No-phone zones
Try this tonight: mute notifications, set one “no-phone” zone, or delete one app that adds nothing to your life.
2. Over-Committing – 40% Off
Every “yes” you say is a “no” to something else. Let’s slash those yeses by 40%.
In my Time-Management class, we talk about the power of saying no, and how saying no isn’t mean, it’s mature.
One woman told me she finally turned down a committee she didn’t have time for, and that single “no” gave her two hours of Shabbos prep peace each week.
Saying no to others is really saying yes to your home, your kids, your health, and your menuchas hanefesh.
If “no” feels scary, try this first:
“Let me think about it and get back to you.”
3. Impulse Buying – 70% Off
If you don’t actually need it, it’s not a deal, it’s a peace-buster.
In my book Frum Minimalism and in the Home Reset Boot Camp, we talk about the importance of a Fixed Shopping List, so you stop buying out of impulse and start buying out of intention.
One of my students told me she used to chase every sale.
Now she keeps an “approved list” on her phone. If it’s not on that list, she doesn’t buy it.
She told me, “I didn’t just declutter my home. I decluttered my spending habits. I feel so free.”
Ask yourself before every purchase: Would I buy this at full price?
If not, don’t.
Congratulations, you just saved money, physical space and mental space.
4. Clutter Guilt – 50% Off
Every pile in your house talks to you, “Do something about me.”
Give those piles a deep discount, by clearing them out.
Pick one small space, a counter, a drawer, a nightstand, and clear it completely.
In my Home Reset Boot Camp, we talk about how clutter doesn’t just sit there, it talks to you all day long.
One client told me, “Every time I walked past my hall closet, I felt my shoulders tense.”
After we decluttered it and set up a simple system, she said she felt “lighter just walking into the house.”
That’s what 50% off stress feels like.
5. Negative Self-Talk – 100% Off (Final Clearance!)
That voice that says, “You’re behind… you’re not enough… you’re doing it wrong”?
DON’T BUY IT!
That inner voice is often the loudest peace-buster of all.
One student told me, “I realized I would never speak to my daughter the way I spoke to myself.”
When you stop buying the lie that you’re failing, your whole life will feel better.
So here’s the new self-talk:
“I’m doing my best. Hashem fills in the rest.”
This Year’s Real Black Friday Deal
Every time you clear a peace-buster, you make space for shefa.
Because bracha flows where there’s room to receive it.
I’ve seen it again and again.
Women join the Frum Minimalism Home Reset Boot Camp to clear their peace-busters, clutter, phone habits, over-committing, guilt, and within five weeks, they’re lighter, calmer, more present in their homes and with their families.
Black Friday deals promise instant excitement…
but the excitement fades by next week, sometimes by that same night.
My course isn’t another thing to buy, it’s the thing that changes how you buy, how you live, and how you think forever.
It’s not just a purchase.
It’s an investment, in all areas of your life.
We’re not anti-buying.
We’re anti-buying things that steal our peace.
Because there’s a huge difference between spending and investing.
A sale item takes space.
But an investment in your growth CREATES space, in your home, your head, and your heart.
That’s what the Frum Minimalism Home Reset Boot Camp does.
It’s not another thing you’ll forget about next week, it’s the reset that changes how you live every week.
The Home Reset Boot Camp is still on huge sale right now for $297 (normally $697).
This is definitely one real deal worth chasing, your peace.
So forget the doorbusters.
This year, let’s chase down our peace-busters, and finally bring home menuchas hanefesh. 💛
And, keep an eye out for more on these topics, we’re just getting started!
Warmly,
Ellie
