Life is hectic sometimes.

Maybe you just had a baby šŸ¼, you’re newly pregnant 🤰 and completely exhausted, you started a new job šŸ’¼, or you’re in the middle of making a wedding šŸ‘° (mazel tov!). Whatever it is, there are times when you feel like you’re drowning in everything that needs to get done. Sound familiar?

Here’s the thing—you CAN’T do it all.

And guess what? That’s 100% okay. šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø

The key to survival in these overwhelming seasons is cutting out the unnecessary and simplifying wherever possible. So, let’s talk about how to make life easier when everything feels like too much.

šŸ‘• Laundry & Clothing – The ā€˜Good Enough’ Method

āœ” Stop folding laundry – Toss clothes straight into drawers or bins. If you declutter enough, you don’t need neat piles!

āœ” No ironing – Don’t buy clothes that require ironing. Life is too short for that. šŸ™…ā€ā™€ļø

āœ” Simplify kids’ clothing – Fewer options = fewer decisions = less laundry. Win-win! šŸŽ‰

āœ” Use laundry bags – Each kid gets their own mesh bag for socks and small stuff—no more lost things! 🧦

āœ” Stick to easy-care fabrics – Machine-washable, wrinkle-free, and stain-resistant fabrics will be your best friends.

šŸ” Housework & Cleaning – Let It Go!

āœ” Paper plates when needed – Yes, it’s fine. No guilt. You don’t need to wash 100 dishes every day. šŸ½ļø

āœ” Minimal meal prep – Keep it simple: pasta, eggs, sandwiches, crockpot meals. You’re not a contestant on Kosher dot com. šŸ³

āœ” One-pot/pan meals – I am HUGE on this! Fewer dishes = less cleanup. Genius! 🄘

āœ” Let go of ā€˜perfect’ – The house won’t sparkle right now, and that’s perfectly okay. ✨

āœ” Set a timer – Do a 10-minute power cleanup and then STOP. No need to go overboard!

šŸ‘¶ Kids & Parenting – Survival Mode Tips

āœ” Pre-packed snacks – Keep granola bars, fruit, and other grab-and-go options on hand. šŸ

āœ” Lower the toy load – Fewer toys = less mess. Trust me on this.

āœ” Independent dressing – If they can dress themselves, let them. Mismatched socks? Who cares! šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

āœ” Let go of fancy events – A cake from the store + a few balloons = DONE. šŸŽ‚

šŸ›ļø Errands & Shopping – Work Smarter, Not Harder

āœ” Grocery delivery or pickup – If it saves you time, it’s worth it. šŸš—

āœ” Stick to the same meals – Rotating a few easy meals means no overthinking dinner. šŸ½ļø

āœ” Buy in bulk – Fewer grocery runs = more sanity. šŸ›’

āœ” Skip fancy outfits – Comfy, practical, and repeatable is the way to go. šŸ‘•

šŸ¤ Social & Expectations – Boundaries Are Your Best Friend

āœ” Say no – You don’t have to attend every event. People will understand. šŸ’”

āœ” Delegate – If someone offers help, say YES. šŸŽÆ

āœ” Forget the extras – No one expects homemade challah when life is nuts. šŸž

āœ” Lower your standards – Good enough is good enough right now.

šŸ’” This season won’t last forever, but while you’re in it, make life as easy as possible.Ā Let go of the things that don’t matter and focus on what does—keeping yourself sane and your family happy. 🄰

šŸ‘‰ What would you add to this list? I'd love to hear!
