Book Review: The Little Book of Hygge" by Meik Wiking

Hey friends,

Today, I want to share another book I read, "The Little Book of Hygge", and thought you'd enjoy reading too!

In my course, my students enjoy looking at my (minimalist - don't worry lol!) collection of books and this one always sparks their curiosity and they ask to borrow it.

It's super cute and has sweet graphics in it too.

Why I Loved It:

All About That Simplicity: As you know, I'm all about simplifying life and cutting through the noise. "The Little Book of Hygge" (pronounced "hoo-ga") does just that. Wiking's mantra of embracing simplicity and decluttering reminds us that less really is more when it comes to finding true happiness.

Slowing Down & Savoring: In a world that's constantly go, go, go, Wiking's message of slowing down and savoring the moment couldn't be more timely. As someone who preaches the importance of mindfulness and being present, to my clients, and in my course, his insights on relishing the little joys in life hit home for me.

Cherishing the Cozy Vibes: Hygge (pronounced "hoo-ga") isn't just a word—it's a way of life. His emphasis on creating spaces and experiences that nurture ourselves and our family and friends perfectly aligns with my mission of just BEING.

So, when I say I enjoyed "The Little Book of Hygge," it's like Wiking took all my favorite topics—simplicity, slowing down, and embracing coziness—and wrapped them up in one delightful book.

Here's to embracing the hygge lifestyle!

Cheers,

Ellie
