Amazing Chopped Meat with Basmati Rice

This dish is full of flavor and super easy to prepare! The combination of garlic, sweet and regular potatoes, and seasoned chopped meat makes it hearty and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 sweet potato, finely diced

  • 1 regular potato, finely diced

  • 1 lb chopped meat

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp mixed grill spice (or your favorite seasoning blend)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2-3 tbsp teriyaki sauce

  • 1-2 tsp Sriracha (adjust to your spice preference)

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • Basmati rice (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Make garlic oil: Heat oil in a large pan and add the minced garlic. Fry it up until the garlic is golden and fragrant, letting the oil absorb the garlic flavor to create garlic oil.

  2. Cook the potatoes: Add the diced sweet potato and regular potato to the pan with the garlic oil. Fry them until they start to soften and get a slight crisp on the outside.

  3. Season the meat: While the potatoes are cooking, season the chopped meat with garlic powder, mixed grill spice, salt, and black pepper. Mix the spices into the meat until it’s evenly coated.

  4. Cook the meat: Add the seasoned meat to the frying pan with the potatoes and garlic oil. Stir and cook the meat until it’s browned and fully cooked through.

  5. Add sauces: Once the meat is cooked, pour in the teriyaki sauce, Sriracha, and honey. Stir everything together until the meat is coated in the sweet, savory, and slightly spicy sauce. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.

  6. Serve: Serve the meat mixture over a bed of fluffy basmati rice for a filling and flavorful meal.
